Past Event Information:

EMC Family Camp - Covenant Hills Family Camp begins on Sunday, July 15-22.  There will be missionaries that are back from some other countries that will give you a new world view.  Bible studies, worship, and preaching is available for the adults, along with activities for both children and youth.  There are all the recreational activities you can imagine.  Meals can be purchased at the Dining Hall.  You can bring your RV, tent, or stay in one of our cabins.  Spaces fill up fast, so reserve your spot by calling 810-631-4531.

Summer Concert and Potluck - The Joyful Sounds Quartet will be here on Saturday, June 23, bringing us old time songs, plus some new ones, with a Southern Gospel flavor.  We will start the event with a potluck at 5:00pm with the concert to follow at 6:00pm.  The concert will be outside, so you are welcome to bring your lawn chairs.  We will have other chairs available for those who need one.  The group's ministry is to sing and encourage God's people in a day when it is sorely needed.  For more information, you can visit Here

17th Annual Baby Bottle Campaign 2018 - The Lapeer Pregnancy Resource Center is an outreach ministry to communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ to women, men, and children affected by an unplanned pregnancy, and is devoted to providing spiritual, emotional, physical, and educational support.  All you need to do to help is pick up the baby bottle on Mother's Day, May 13th--fill it with change--and bring it back on Father's Day, June 17th.

Wednesday Services - Wednesday, June 13th will be the last day for the following programs:  Children (Preschool-5th grade), Youth Group (6th-12th grades) and Kathy's Group.  All classes will be done for the summer and start up again in September.  Please note that Prayer Meeting will continue through June, and start up again in August.  No services for the month of July!

Burn, Baby, Burn! - Join us for an end-of-the-year bonfire and pool party on  Wednesday, June 13th at 6:30pm over at the Lawton's house.  Bring any old school papers that you want to toss in the fire!  Please bring chips and pop, and we will provide the hotdogs and buns.

Children's Ministry Info Meeting - If you're interested in helping in the Children's Ministry in any way, you're invited to join us on Sunday, June 17th, right after service.  We know it's Father's Day, but we will keep it really short!  Pastor Bruce even said he'd be out by noon, so we can gather quickly to talk about how we can serve the children of LFMC!

"Fresh Wind" Conference - You are invited to a weekend event that might change the way you look at your faith and the Holy Spirit.  Join us as we host our "Fresh Wind" conference Saturday, June 2-3.  Our speaker will be Brett Heintzman, co-director of the Free Methodist National Prayer Ministry.  Brett will be speaking to us about the movement of the Spirit among our churches, and discussing the personage and power of the Spirit in respect to our faith.  He will be speaking Saturday night at 6:00, and during the Sunday school hour (10:00 am) and at our 1:00am service.  This conference is free and open to anyone who desires to grow in faith and know more about the Holy Spirit.  See Pastor Bruce for questions.

Graduation Sunday - Join us on Sunday, June 3rd as we honor our graduates. Congrats Seniors!

Youth Event "Box City" - All youth (6th - 12th grade) are welcome to spend the night in a box to fight homelessness on Friday, June 8th (5pm) to Saturday, June 9th (9am). We will be doing the event rain or shine. Cardboard "Box City" is a fundraiser in which people camp for one night in a temporary dwelling to increase awareness of homelessness.
